same, but im thinking that NCSoft, as A.Net's game publisher, only cares about the sales of their game and A.Net must do its best to make the game appealing to gamers so NCSoft wont shut them down.
GW - New business model, new game, new source of cash for NCSoft.

There is an auction house in Final Fantasy XI, which is older than WoW.

Consider all the things Anet has done that we don't agree with. I don't know about you, but I payed $50 for this game. For the most part, I got what I paid for. It is Anet's job to keep me happy.

It's ANet's job to make a game that will sell to the masses. I don't know where you got your idea from.

I'm pretty sure that all aspects of suggestions/bug reports and such are taken care of 100% by Anet and not NCSoft. Though recently it looks like NCSoft has adapted (or incorporated) the support system Anet has been using for all their products which makes it looks like NCSoft is actually behind the changes.

Play-NC is the support company ( a separet company just like A-Net) that handles all NC-Soft games, seams like a switchboard that screens and directs the questions worth developers attention to the appropriet developers.
It just streamlines the support system when you have many games owned by the same Corporation,
5 games and 5 separet support departments or 5 games and 1 support department you do the math lol

Ncsoft sucks, look at Lineage 2. Suggestions NEVER get implemented unless they come from korea. You better thank Anet for this good game not nc because they don't do sh*t.

It isn't "stolen", the guys who did wow are the same who are doing Guild Wars.

It is cool how they listen, but I think you can chalk that up to Anet and Cryptic Studios rather than NCSoft.

In fact this is false, just as like the fact that Anet is a separate company. Anet and Play-NC are, and remeber this, "Wholly owned subsidiary of NC-Soft", unlike the City games, owned by Cryptic and distributed by NC. NC "Owns" the companies that make the games. In Laymens terms Anets is a department of NCSoft, as well as Play-NC.
For more proof look here http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/NCsoft, and I will show the difference in this paragragh:
Lineage II and released it in South Korea on October 1, 2003, and in the United States on April 28, 2004. NCsoft is also the publisher for Guild Wars (developed by their subsidiary ArenaNet) and the MMORPGs City of Heroes and City of Villains (developed by Cryptic Studios).
Notice that City was developed BY Critptic, and GW, BY their SUBSIDIARY.
NC=ANET=NC
PERIOD
EDIT:
and with AION coming out how much love is left for GW

i used to play L2 myself and i must admit that the game was made by and for koreans first and foremost. the rest of the world is usually a few months behind the koreans servers and has only a small percentage of subscribers vis-a-vis the korean servers subscriber base.
therefore, it makes all sense why ncsoft designs everything in relation to lineage 2 with the korean market in mind and not the rest of the world market.
coh/cov and gw however are designed primarily with the west as its primary market and thus listens intently to this market and adjust the game as the markets demands it.

I don't mean to state the obvious, but, auction houses originated from... Auction houses. Whichever one was the first game to have auction houses doesnt really deserve a cookie.
The first auction house I recall seeing was when I was... 13. 7 years ago, a game called RedMoon. So it's really nothing new.

NC Soft Europe is the devil when it comes to exchange rates for Australia with the official store.
NCSoft Do not listen they just run the servers. NCSoft America Simply Sells Guild Wars out to the rest of the NCsoft Groups around the world.
Each works independently even though they share the same name.
